This latest round of layoffs comes after a September announcement from the company that 250 mid-level jobs were being cut across the country. Employees in DFW were affected by those layoffs as well.

Connecticut based Frontier made its entrance into the Texas market — along with Florida and California —on April 1 when it acquired Verizon’s wireline assets for $10.54 billion. They acquired 500,000 customers in North Texas.

Earlier this month on Nov 2nd, CISCO systems in Richardson also announced it was laying off 87 employees.

The job cuts are part of a decision to halt operations within its Broadband Telephony Services unit at the facility.
